Florence Jacobbi Worden, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, at the age of 80. Florence's life was a tapestry of creativity, strength, and resilience, and she leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Born on October 12, 1943, in Batavia, NY, Florence grew up in Buffalo, NY, a proud member of a large Italian family. Florence eventually settled in Rochester, NY where she spent most of her adult life. She was a dedicated professional, working for the Small Business Association for many years. Her warm personality and commitment to helping others made her a beloved colleague and friend to many. In her spare time, Florence was an artist who expressed herself through photography, charcoal drawings, and piano – but she was most of all a dancer at heart.

Florence is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn Jackson, Jennifer Regina, and Aileen Worden, and her grandchildren, Keefer Jackson, Sophia Regina, and Isabella Regina, who were the light of her life and brought her immense pride and joy. Florence spent several years in North Carolina near her daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Antonio, and her two granddaughters, Sophia and Isabella, before returning to Rochester to be closer to familiar surroundings.

In her later years, Florence faced the challenges of Alzheimer's disease with grace and dignity. The last few months of her life were spent at the Demay Living Center, where she was cared for with kindness and compassion. The staff at Demay quickly grew to love Florence, who continued to exhibit her trademark stylish flair, often donning sparkly shoes that reflected her vibrant spirit.

Florence's life was a beautiful blend of artistry, determination, and perseverance. She will be remembered for her elegance, sense of humor, and the love she had for family and God. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.

Florence's immediate family will hold a private memorial to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
