Lonnie J. Halladay

Phelps:  Age 72, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Lonnie was born on July 31, 1950, in Watertown, NY.  He was the son of the late Clyde and Bernice "Crawford" Halladay. He attended Hermon DeKalb school and thereafter joined the US Army.

Lonnie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his yearly camping trip up North to Higley Flow and his daughter's camp on the St. Regis River.  Camping was the highlight of his life, he loved the outdoors, the fresh air, bonfires, and just visiting and laughing with everyone.

Lonnie is survived by 2 daughters, Tammy Berry and Loretta (Ralph) House; 3 sons, Conway Halladay, Robert Halladay, and Trevor Halladay; 1 stepson, Stephen Bogardus; and 1 "adopted" daughter, Haley Buisch.  He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; his brother, Richard "Dick" Halladay and sister, Sharon Stone. Lonnie was predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Janet Lawton and Patricia Halladay.

There will be a Celebration of Life, at Char's Bar, in Canton, NY (Morley) on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11:00 am.  A Celebration of Life gathering is incomplete at this time for the Phelps-Clifton Springs area.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to The House of John, 14 Spring St, Clifton Springs, NY 14432.
