It is with deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of my father, Michael Puff, who left us on August 21st, 2024. Though I only had the privilege of knowing him as an adult, the impact he has had on my life is immeasurable.

Growing up without his presence left a void in my heart but as I came to know him as an adult, he is a man of depth, complexity, and love. Our time together, though brief, was filled with moments that I will cherish forever. I am grateful for the late-night conversations, the laughter, and the shared memories that we created as we navigated the journey of reconnecting with one another. He loved his grandchildren, Ryan and Elliana, and they loved their grandfather.

He taught me lessons in resilience and strength, and he showed me the importance of family. His stories were a window into a life lived with passion and challenges, and listening to him helped me understand the man he was, beyond just being my father. While we were not together during my formative years, I find comfort in the bond we forged as adults.

To those who knew him, he was a person of kindness and warmth, whose laughter could light up a room. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love and connection. I will always remember the way he cared for those around him and how he approached life with an open heart.

As I say goodbye, I carry his spirit with me and resolve to honor his memory by embracing life fully, just as he did. I am thankful for the time we shared, no matter how short, and I will hold him in my heart forever.

Rest in peace, dad. Your memory will live on through me and in the stories we shared. Until we meet again.
