Robert John Carlson, 81, Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on Dec 4th, 2024 after his three year long fight with Mesothelioma. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Susan, his children, Dawn Patterson, Christopher Carlson (Tomoko), and John Carlson, and his grandchildren, Carissa Patterson, Michaela Joy Patterson, Isabella Delgado, Isaac Carlson, Noah Carlson, and Jace Patterson. Bob was welcomed into heaven with huge open arms by his youngest born Cari Carlson. Born in Rochester NY, Bob attended John Marshall High School before enlisting in the Navy and serving his country during the Vietnam War. After his return to the states, he met Sue and they embarked on their life adventure together raising a family in the beautiful woods of South Bristol, NY. Bob traveled the state as a sheet metal/HVAC worker as part of Local 46 where he built lifelong friendships and had a hand in constructing some of the state's largest commercial buildings. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, golf, and anything that required working with his hands.  He will be remembered for his devotion, kindness, patience, strength of mind and body, sense of humor, and his forever eagerness to help those in need. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday Dec 14th, 2024, 11AM at Bristol Springs Free Church, 6481 County Road 12, Naples, NY. 14512. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bob may be directed to Bristol Springs Free Church.
