Lyons – After a courageous battle with cancer, Shirley passed away on March 26, 2022 at age 68.  She was born in Marlinton, West Virginia to Mary S. Triplett and Hazel B. Fowler.  Shirley was also predeceased by her sister, Margaret Louise Poage and brother Grover Daniel Fowler.

Shirley is survived by her partner, Carl Chalker; children, Kevin M. (Heather) Fowler, John P. Tyson, and Laura E. (Jeff) Schuldt; grandchildren, Stephanie L. (Colby) Wootton, Tyler J. Smaldone, Jeffrey D. Schuldt, Avery S. Smith, Jacob C. Schuldt; great granddaughter, Sophia M. Fowler.

The family of Shirley S. Newland sends a sincere thank you to all who helped in any way during her illness and at the time of her death.  The support, love, and kindness of family and friends carried us all through this very difficult time.

A special thank you to the staff at Clifton Springs Hospital and the Lipson Cancer Center in Clifton Springs for their exceptional care and compassion throughout Shirley's treatment and final days.
