Jon R. Hood   "Jack"

Palmyra:  Fondly known as Jack, born January 14, 1948, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023 at the age of 75.

Jack made his career at Garlock Sealing Technologies in Palmyra, NY and was a dedicated, hard working man, who for many years worked two jobs to provide for his family.  He had a passion for cars, especially Corvettes and always took meticulous care of any vehicle he owned.  Jack was happiest when he was socializing with friends and family.  He enjoyed playing a good game of golf, horseshoes or cards or attending an Amerks game. He was also a longtime member of Rotary Club.  With his quick wit and great sense of humor he could always make people laugh. Jack will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him.  May he rest in peace.

Jack is survived by his three daughters; Tricia Busch, Micky (Rick) Rugaber, Mindy (Don) Dennie; his eight grandchildren, Sophie, Sawyer and Sylvie Busch, Jacob, Sydney and Casey Rugaber, Tyler and Lauren Dennie; his three siblings, Bob (Sharon) Hood, Lynda Hood and Bill (Nancy) Hood; his four nieces and nephews, Scott McClellan, Brooke Swarthout, Chauna and Shane Evangelist and each of their families.  He is predeceased by his parents Roy and Zelma Hood.
