Sheri Privitera, at 56 years old, who grew up in Ontario, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 23rd of 2023 after fighting a hard battle from many ongoing diseases.
Sheri was born on October, 27th of 1966 to Gary and Brenda Parker in Rochester,NY. At the age of 12, Sheri was diagnosed with Leukemia. She was an early childhood survivor of Leukemia after receiving a bone marrow transplant from her sister Laurie, who was a perfect match. Sheri graduated from Wayne Central in 1984, and studied business management at Monroe Community College. Afterwards, Sheri met Mark Privitera at a Bowling Alley in Rochester, NY. Sheri and Mark went on to have 3 beautiful girls, even after Sheri was told she’d never be able to conceive children. Kelley, Jessica, and Emily were brought into this world. Sheri worked at Wegmans Bakery for 12 years and spent the most of her free time with her girls, and enjoyed bowling, gardening, sewing and crafting.
Sheri was predeceased by her mother, Brenda Parker, and grandparents, Robert and Jean Brewer, Kenneth and Lamoine Parker. She is survived by her father, Gary Parker, sister Laurie Parker Dixon, and daughters Kelley, Jessica, and Emily Privitera.
A celebration of life will be held at Casey Park on Wednesday, June 28th. Calling hours from 4-8pm, with the service held at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times, where Sheri attended the first camp http://www.campgooddays.org.
